Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 May 2026. These terms explain the rules for using GymlyPal.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service apply to your use of GymlyPal, including the website, workout tracking features, routine planner, Smart Coach recommendations, social features, subscription features and related communications.
By creating an account, accessing the service or using GymlyPal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
2. Account Responsibilities
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account, unless that activity is caused by our failure to apply reasonable security measures.
You must not share your password, impersonate another person, create accounts to abuse the service, or use another user's account without permission.
3. Use of the Service
GymlyPal helps users create routines, log workouts, track sets, reps and weight, view progress, share selected routines and receive workout recommendations. You agree to use the service lawfully, responsibly and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may improve, modify, limit, suspend or discontinue parts of the service over time. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee every feature will always remain available.
4. Subscription Terms
GymlyPal offers a Free plan and a Paid plan. The Free plan currently includes up to 2 routines, 2 workouts per day and 5 exercises per routine.
The Paid plan is currently priced at £1.99 per month or £9.99 per year and includes unlimited routines, unlimited workouts, unlimited exercises per routine and premium features.
Prices may change in the future. If pricing changes apply to an existing paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users before the change takes effect where required.
5. Billing and Cancellation
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise the applicable recurring charge unless and until you cancel.
You can cancel a paid subscription through the billing or account settings made available in the service. Cancellation normally prevents future renewal charges, but it does not automatically refund charges already paid unless required by law or stated in the checkout or billing provider terms.
If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade paid features until payment is resolved.
6. User-Generated Content and Workout Data
You keep ownership of the workout data, routines, notes, profile information and shared content you create. You give GymlyPal permission to store, process, display and use that content as needed to provide the service, including recommendations, history, sharing features and account functionality.
You are responsible for any content you choose to share with pals or other users. Do not share content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, harmful, invasive of privacy or that infringes someone else's rights.
7. Acceptable Use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. This includes rules against harassment, illegal use, harmful content, scraping, automated abuse, security testing without permission and attempts to disrupt or exploit the service.
8. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created risk for other users, attempted to abuse the system, failed to pay subscription fees, or used the service unlawfully.
You may stop using the service at any time. If you want to request deletion of your account or personal data, see our Data Deletion page.
9. Fitness and Medical Disclaimer
GymlyPal provides workout tracking, routine planning and general recommendation features. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy, personal training certification or professional health advice.
Read the full Disclaimer before relying on any workout, recommendation or training information.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GymlyPal is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, fitness results, injuries caused by training decisions, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights where they apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service, pricing, laws or features change. The latest version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
